买东西的英语看起来最简单——问个价、试个穿、退个货,能有多难?难就难在这些话我们用中文说了几十年,直译的惯性最大:「多少钱」带上了 money,「试一下」丢了 on,「给我退」把动作安在了自己身上。句句语法说得通,句句都不是母语者的说法。
下面 12 句来自像话用户的真实练习记录,按逛店的顺序排:先是进店、试穿、问价,然后是砍价、付款、退换。每条配一句话原因,看完就知道差在哪。
逛店、试穿与问价
- ✗ No thanks, I just look. → ✓ I'm just browsing, thanks. —— 随便看看说 just browsing,注意是进行时。
- ✗ Excuse me, can I try this? → ✓ Can I try this on? —— 试穿要加 on;try this 听着像"尝一口"。
- ✗ This clothes is very nice. → ✓ These clothes are really nice. —— clothes 永远是复数;指单件就说 this shirt。
- ✗ I want to buy a pant. → ✓ I need a new pair of pants. —— 裤子是复数 pants;"一条"说 a pair of pants。
- ✗ This dress is very suit me. → ✓ This dress really suits me. —— suit 是动词,very 不能修饰动词,用 really suits。
- ✗ How much money is this? → ✓ How much is this? —— 问价不用带 money,How much is this 就够了。
砍价、付款与退换
- ✗ This phone's cost performance is very high. → ✓ This phone is really good value. —— 「cost performance」母语者听不懂;性价比说 good value。
- ✗ This shop is buy one send one! → ✓ It's buy one, get one free! —— 买一送一是 buy one get one free;send 是寄出去。
- ✗ Can you give me cheaper? → ✓ Could you do a bit better on the price? —— 砍价说 do better on the price;「give me cheaper」不成立。
- ✗ It's a little expensive. I'll consider it. → ✓ Hmm, let me think about it. —— 口语说 think about it;consider 像在开董事会。
- ✗ I used 50 yuan to buy this. → ✓ I got this for 50 yuan. —— 花多少钱买到,说 got it for;「use money to buy」是直译。
- ✗ Can you refund me this shirt? → ✓ Can I get a refund for this? —— 顾客是"拿到退款",说 get a refund;refund 的动作是店家做的。
怎么练成肌肉记忆
购物英语的句子都很短,短句最依赖反射——店员问 Can I help you 的瞬间,你没时间组织语言。所以别停在"看懂了":上面中枪的句子,现在出声读三遍 ✓ 的版本,再接半句自己的话,比如 Can I try this on — in a medium?
